“Lord, I believe in You, increase my faith. I trust in You, strengthen my trust. I love You, let me love You more and more.” (“The Universal Prayer” Pope Clement XI)
Eternal God, our Lord and Father,
You gift us Yourself in Christ Jesus.
You protect us by Your wisdom and truth.
Peace is found in righteousness,
The blessing of Jesus’ holiness ascribed to us.
You deliver us from all that is evil.
Lord God of mercy, we praise You,
We thank You, we bow down before You.
“Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength...Be still, for the day is holy, do not be grieved.” (Nehemiah 8 v 10, 11 TNJB)
Ask, for Your holy love and care we pray,
To always reign through our Saviour,
The holy Brother we have is the Lord Jesus,
Together with the wondrous working of the Holy Spirit,
Safeguarding and helping us to be seeking virtue,
Through the life and death of the Lord Jesus.
May He in the Holy Eucharist, His greatest celebration,
Ever be the recommendation of our right to heaven.
“I am the living bread come down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, (s)he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh for the life of the world’.” (John 6 v 51)
We need Your mercy continuously,
That we remain in Your loving service
Undertaken in the holy name of the Lord Jesus.
The Lord God, the Lamb of God, the Son of God,
He is Your highest, fullest, richest gift to us,
Made our own to name and claim in the Holy Spirit,
That we can look forward in hope to life eternal.
“The hand of God is over all who seek Him for their protection...” (Ezra 8 v 22 TNJB)
The Messiah is our reigning King of Glory,
The highest authority gifting us love eternally.
Oh how grateful we truly are for the gift of Christ Jesus.
We trust in Your goodness completely, dearest Father,
Enabling us through Your Son, by Your Spirit,
To live a life of love where peace, hope and joy
Are together, the result of calling on our Saviour.
“Breathe on us, Holy Spirit, that we may think what is holy. Move us, Holy Spirit, that we may do what is holy.” (based on a prayer of St Augustine, changing the singular invocation to plural)
“O Jesu, O Sacred Heart, burning with Divine Love, send into my heart a spark of that fire which burneth in Thee; excite in me a flaming and a burning Spirit, impress upon me the seal of Thy Love, that I may worthily perform Thy work.” (Gilbert Shaw 1886-1967)
Dearest Father, You tell us regarding the Lord Jesus: “ ‘I shall be His Father, and He will be My Son, and I shall not withdraw My favour from Him...I shall set Him over My temple and kingdom forever and His throne will be forever secure’.” (1 Chronicles 17 v 14 TNJB)
What grace and favour You bestow upon us in our Saviour Brother. In Him we discover the greatness of Your love and the power of Your mercy, reaching out to redeem us from sin and restore us to all Your goodness longs to bestow upon us.
Jesus is the new life to be led in the love and mercy You offer to us, Father God. Thank You for healing us from the negative destructive, often disastrous influences of the world. satan seeks to annihilate us, but we have the victory at the † of the Lord Jesus!
Thank You, we praise You for delivering us from evil, as we daily ask for this. You free us through the love of the Lord Jesus, by means of the Holy Spirit, from those afflictions which restrict our faith’s trust and dependency.
Once we meet the Lord Jesus in Person, call on His name and claim the salvation He won for us at the †, satan flees! When we place ourselves at the foot of the †, we find mercy.
Merciful love emanating from the Holy Trinity, is restorative, an almighty love so powerfully at work, thank You. May many, many more people come to understand and appreciate this, offering all praise for our Saviour Redeemer.
Your love is so bountiful as we turn to the Sacred Heart of the Lord Jesus and call upon His merits graciously gifted us, as we seek to share in His holiness. Herein is the richest treasure of Your ever, all merciful kindness
and compassion.
No longer need we fear when we find this perfect love in the Lord Jesus, which is You come to us, dearest Father, by the wondrous work of the Holy Spirit. There is no other way You come to us, or we can come to
You, other than through the gift of Christ Jesus.
The Holy Spirit, leading our prayer, gifts us resource to You, through the holy heart of Jesus’ love for us. You see this love at work when we pray, and no longer do You feel anger at the sin which otherwise separates us,
sets us apart from Your love and mercy. Our right standing, our plea for mercy thereby, is always gained through Jesus.
When sad, You console us, when persecuted You protect us, when burdened You strengthen us, when in doubt or darkness, You shine the light of Jesus’ love upon us, using the Holy Spirit’s power.
Lord Jesus in Your wisdom and truth lovingly shared with us, helping and inspiring us to seek to live a holy life, fully pleasing and honouring to You. There is no other way to do this. Jesus is the way.
Although unworthy of any grace or favour, when we live under the Lordship of Christ Jesus, we never need be discouraged, never feel we are a failure. We are rescued at the † of forgiveness, thank You.
Father of mercy, You look kindly upon every contrite heart seeking reconciliation with You, by means of the Lord Jesus dying as a sacrifice, offered up for our sinfulness. In His rising, look upon us mercifully and grace us a new life.
We need a fresh resolve daily, so as to adhere to Jesus at all times, in all places, according to the safeguarding of the Spirit, helping us to overcome the misery of our sinfulness. Thank You for answering all prayer asking for help.
May the love within the Sacred Heart of Jesus be made ours to offer each other, so as to delight and honour You, Father of love and mercy, our Deliverer from all that is evil, in and through the gift of Christ Jesus, the
source of every blessing, such a grace and favour is Your saving plan.
Thank You so much for offering us the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as an invaluable part of Your sacred plan to save mankind from the hell of a final separation from You, as a Trinity of love and mercy. We adore this
Sacred Heart of our divine Saviour, offered up for us upon the †.
We honour the fullness of His love, calling forth Your mercy upon us. Without acknowledging Christ as the Saviour King of Glory, we are lost to this benefit and blessing. Please do not let this happen, keep sending us
Your Spirit.
The Spirit teaches us to rejoice in Jesus’ holy life, this happening teaching His work of miracles, His clear love for mankind, His offering of Himself at the Last Supper, set to become the Blessed Sacrament of the Mass and His willing acceptance of the †.
Thank You too, that the Spirit of revelation shows us the full meaning of Jesus’ healing sacrifice, as offered for the forgiveness of the sins of the entire world, past, present and even in the future.
We are shown a truly wondrous love which belongs to the Almighty Trinity, Three Persons, yet One God, a community of true love shown in mercy. Jesus is the incarnation of this love offered mercifully, a loving
kindness which knows no equal, nor requires a sequel, for Christ Jesus’ sacrifice upon the †was made once, for everybody.
Our task is to believe and receive of this truly remarkable gift, offering all praise and thanksgiving for Your mercy, Father God. We could not know You, nor Your personality if it were not for our Saviour Brother and the Holy Spirit.
We have become the recipients of a love, Christ Jesus’ love, Your mercy and this at the hands of the purifying, sanctifying Holy Spirit, “A love that surpasses all knowledge.” (Ephesians 3 v 19)
The Lord Jesus love is total, complete, generous, unconditional and truly life changing as the Holy Spirit strives to help us to pray and to work for holiness, out of love and respect for the admirable, adorable Trinity.
Christ Jesus shows us the true meaning of His love for us “ ‘That the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do’,” (John 14 v 31) reverently, obediently,
expecting us to do similarly.
Although satan is the ruler of this world, holding the keys to this kingdom, he gained no foothold in Jesus, because His life was perfect, without room for sin. Nor does satan hold any authority over our Saviour
Brother.
So we can safely pray in the Lord Jesus’ name, asking to be delivered from all that is evil, being confident and Expectant through You Father God, as long as we do our part to live obedient to Your Ten Commandments and the Lord Jesus’ extra clause adding we must love like He does, being enabled to do so by adhering to the Spirit of wisdom, of faith, of truth, of purity, the Sanctifier.
What love Jesus shows us, accepting death on a †, that reserved for base criminals. “ ‘Greater love has noone than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends’,” (John 15 v 13) just as Jesus has accomplished for us.
We are called to live entirely selflessly, modelling our life on that of our holy Brother. Jesus loves us so intensely because we belong to You, Father. Catastrophically sin has cuit us off from Your blessings of grace
and favour. But so immense, intense is Jesus’ love for You, He sets this disaster on the new course of salvation.
“ ‘I pray for them...for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours, And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them’.” (John 17 v 9) How marvellous, truly, truly a most wondrous love is at work!
Jesus loves and cares for us inexhaustibly for He personifies love in all its holy power and can see how much we are in need of His help and Your mercy dearest Father. He wishes to win us over to the holiness which
richly blesses us.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the full fountain of grace and mercy bestowed upon us, all praise, all thanks and all glory ever be now and eternally, Your covenanted love, Father.
“This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” You say. “ ‘I will put My love in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 31 v 33)
Your heart of love flows to us, into our hearts which You made for love, according to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as made vividly, pro-actively real to us by the Spirit of love.
Thank You so much Father God, for the incredible, life renewing, eternal gift giving love which is the gift of Christ Jesus, freely, mercifully given that we can believe, receive and trust.
“There’s a meaning in life’s mystery, its rapture and despair. There’s a reason for our sorrows, for our losses and our cares. There’s a purpose in life’s journey if with faith we bear our load – and the hope of God’s forgiveness at the ending of the road.” Amen to this truth! (Patience
